about
Dez Cadena (Black Flag / Misfits) and Jon Caspi had a mutual friend, the great Mr. Lou, who died suddenly. The loss of Mr. Lou brought about their new friendship and a new musical collaboration between Dez and Jon & The First Gun. This song is a tribute to Lou and is about how truly sad and tragic endings can sometimes lead to good things. We'd rather have Lou back with us...but since we can't...we are glad that this came about because of him. It was Lou's gift to us.
lyrics
Oh ya, alright, we know the day will end
We don’t lose sight, of what’s in our hands
And all I want is to play that song again
So we part, until another day
You’re in our hearts, that’s where you’ll stay
And through your loss, we gained a world of friends
And then you know…
The sun starts shaking as it gets close to the ground
We ride tonight until the bitter end
We raise em high for a fallen friend
And all I want is to see him play again
Doesn’t make a sound...don't make a sound
